50 years and still growing!
Clare's Cycle & Sports Ltd. began as a small shop in Welland,
Ontario, Canada back in 1954. John Clare was the sole proprietor
in the early days of business. John, who loves bikes and biking,
was a competitive racer and an Ontario and Canadian National Enduro
champion racer. Clare's shop was moved out to Fenwick where over
the years it has grown to be the large and successful business that
it is today.
Clare's Cycle and Sports Ltd. first became a B.S.A. and Triumph Motorcycle
Dealership. Over the years that ensued Clare's added the Harley-Davidson Motorcycle line, the Yamaha, Honda and the
Suzuki Motorcycle line as well as Honda's Lawn, Garden and snow
equipment. In addition to these products customers have found
Clare's to be the source for ATV's in the Niagara Peninsula.
Clare's Cycle is and has always been a family business. John's
father, Ed Clare, was very much involved with the business until
the time of his death. John's wife, Donna; brother-in-law, Dave
Atkins; son, Randy; daughter, Robin; niece, Pam; and nephew, Darren
all play important roles in contributing to the success of the
business.
The rest of the staff at Clare's round out the group of dedicated
and capable people who have looked after Clare's customers for
many
years.
Clare's close proximity to the world famous Niagara Falls makes
it a popular spot to visit when travelers and tourists are in this
part of the world. People drop in from all corners of the world
and every continent to visit, shop, or browse. They are made welcome
and their business is appreciated.
